Curtis, located in New Milford, New Jersey, is the distributor of many successful titles, including Elle, Maxim, Newsweek, PC Gamer, US News and World Report, and Woman’s Day. For over ten years Curtis has sought to distribute Bedford’s titles, during which time its senior executives have developed a rapport with Bedford’s management.
“The evolution of single-copy distribution over the last few years has changed the dynamic of the publisher/distributor/retailer relationship, and it has become apparent that Curtis is now the preeminent force in newsstand distribution, with over 40 percent of the market share,” says Edward Brown, Publisher.
Curtis promises an aggressive distribution plan for Bedford’s titles, aiming to break into new outlets and implement aggressive promotional programs to increase circulation and market presence.
